Mission: Yozakura Family Season 2 Reveals Visual, Opening Theme Artist, April 2026 Premiere
The official website for Mission: Yozakura Family revealed a new visual, opening theme artist, and April 2026 premiere window for the anime’s second season.
The opening theme song, “What’s ‘KAZOKU’”, will be performed by Sakurazaka46. The season will air on 28 MBS and TBS networks during the Sunday 5:00 p.m. JST “Nichigo” time slot.
The first season aired in April 2024. International streaming includes Disney (Hulu) with an English dub in the U.S., while Prime Video and Netflix stream the series in Japan.
Champignon Witch Anime Reveals Shōya Chiba in Cast, One-Hour January 8 Premiere

The anime adaptation of Tachibana Higuchi’s Champignon Witch announced that Shōya Chiba will voice Henri, a mysterious youth encountered by Luna.
The anime will premiere with a one-hour special on January 8, airing on TBS, followed by broadcasts on BS11 and AT-X.
The series stars Haruka Shiraishi, Yuki Sakakihara, Jun Fukushima, Emiri Katō, Miho Okasaki, and Misato Fukuen. Direction is handled by Yōsuke Kubo, with Yūko Kakihara overseeing series scripts. Animation is produced by Typhoon Graphics and Qzil.la.
A Gentle Noble’s Vacation Recommendation Anime Reveals Theme Songs and January 7 Debut
The main promotional video for A Gentle Noble’s Vacation Recommendation revealed the opening theme “Gypso” by Hikaru Makishima and the ending theme “Ussura” by Hina Suguta.
The anime will premiere on January 7 on TV Tokyo, with streaming on Fuji TV On Demand, and additional broadcasts on BS TV Tokyo and AT-X. Crunchyroll will stream the series internationally and screen the premiere at Anime Frontier.

New Assassination Classroom Film Reveals Full Trailer and Theme Song
The official website for Assassination Classroom the Movie: Everybody’s Time unveiled its full trailer and poster visual. The trailer previews the theme song “Teacher”, written and performed by Sora Tomonari.
Tomonari described the song as a tribute to Koro Sensei, reflecting on how the manga influenced him during his school years. The film features returning cast members from the TV anime along with newly announced roles.
The movie is directed by Masaki Kitamura at Lerche, with Makoto Uezu returning as scriptwriter and Aya Higami designing the characters.
Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling Anime Reveals Main Promo, New Cast, January 10 Debut
Reincarnated as a Dragon Hatchling revealed its main promotional video, additional cast members, and January 10 broadcast date.
The anime will air on AT-X, Tokyo MX, Sun TV, and BS11. HIDIVE will stream the series and screen its North American premiere at Anime Frontier.
New cast includes Rie Kugimiya as Marielle and Tomori Kusunoki as Black Lizard.
A Misanthrope Teaches a Class for Demi-Humans Anime Reveals Main Promo and January 10 Debut
The anime adaptation of A Misanthrope Teaches a Class for Demi-Humans revealed its main promotional video, previewing the opening theme “Ningen” by Masayoshi Ōishi.
The anime will debut on January 10 on ABC TV, TV Asahi, and other channels in the Animazing!!! block, with streaming on ABEMA and d Anime Store.
Gōmon Baito-kun no Nichijō Anime Reveals Four New Cast Members
Kadokawa announced four new cast members for Gōmon Baito-kun no Nichijō, alongside early streaming plans on U-NEXT, Anime Hōdai, and ABEMA before its TV broadcast.

Dusk Beyond the End of the World Anime Reveals Full English Dub Cast
HIDIVE revealed the complete English dub cast for Dusk Beyond the End of the World, with the dub streaming starting December 17 and early screenings at Anime Frontier.
The anime is a P.A. Works original series set in a post-war future, following Akira and the android Yugure.

Iron Wok Jan! Manga Gets TV Anime Adaptation by Ei Aoki and TROYCA in 2026
A newly launched official website announced that Shinji Saijyo’s classic cooking manga Iron Wok Jan! (Tetsunabe no Jan!) is officially receiving a television anime adaptation scheduled for 2026.
The anime will be directed by Ei Aoki, known for acclaimed works such as Fate/Zero, Aldnoah.Zero, Wandering Son, and Girls Bravo. Animation production will be handled by TROYCA, a studio praised for its strong visual direction and dramatic storytelling.
Originally serialized in Weekly Shōnen Champion from 1995 to 2000, Iron Wok Jan! centers on Jan Akiyama, a brilliant yet ruthless young chef who views cooking as pure competition. His ideology constantly clashes with Kiriko Gobanchō, the granddaughter of the restaurant’s owner, who believes cooking should always prioritize the customer.
The manga later received multiple sequels and spin-offs, including Iron Wok Jan! R: Chōjō Sakusen, Tetsupai no Jan!, and Iron Wok Jan!! 2nd, cementing its legacy as a cult-favorite cooking battle series.

Psyren Manga Officially Gets Long-Awaited TV Anime Adaptation in 2026
Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump announced that Toshiaki Iwashiro’s Psyren is finally receiving a television anime adaptation in 2026, ending years of speculation among fans.
Anime distributor REMOW revealed the key visual, teaser trailer (English version), main cast, and staff. Iwashiro shared an emotional message celebrating the announcement, explaining that many of the people working on the anime were fans of Psyren when they were teenagers.
The author also confirmed that he had the opportunity to be involved with the scripts and expressed excitement about seeing Ageha Yoshina and the rest of the cast finally animated on screen.
Ace of Diamond Act II Second Season Anime Confirmed for April 2026
The staff for Ace of Diamond Act II Second Season confirmed that the sequel will premiere in April 2026, alongside a newly revealed visual and promotional video.
Hideaki Ōba (Kunon the Sorcerer Can See, Love of Kill) will serve as the new director at OLM, replacing Mitsuyuki Masuhara. Kenji Konuta returns to oversee the series scripts, while Yasukazu Shōji joins as the new character designer. Hajime Hyakkoku will once again compose the music.
The anime will air on TV Tokyo and its affiliates, as well as AT-X, with the full main cast returning.

Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dear Friend Film Announced for Fall 2026
Aniplex announced that Rascal Does Not Dream of a Dear Friend will open in Japanese theaters in fall 2026. The teaser visual includes the line: “Find Tōko Kirishima, Mai is in danger.”
The film reunites the full returning cast, including Kaito Ishikawa, Asami Seto, and Inori Minase. Sōichi Masui returns to direct at CloverWorks, with Masahiro Yokotani handling the script and fox capture plan composing the music.
The film is teased as moving the story toward its conclusion and shares its title with the final novel volume of the series.
