Welcome back to AniWorldTV! In today’s poll, we’re diving into a fun but controversial topic — the most problematic anime according to fans. During our research, we found that some anime receive a surprising amount of hate, not because they’re bad, but because of certain scenes, creative decisions, or comparisons with other shows.
Each of these anime has a loyal fanbase, yet they also have critics who point out specific issues — from animation quality drops, to incomplete stories, to fanservice, to one episode that changed how viewers see the entire series. What’s interesting is how divided the community is: some people defend these shows passionately, while others can’t stand them for those exact reasons.
So today, we’re putting the question to you:
Which anime do YOU think is the most problematic — and why?
Cast your vote and tell us what you personally think about these anime. Your opinion matters, and we want to hear how the anime community sees each of these “flawed but loved” series.
1️ Goblin Slayer
Problem: Extremely controversial first episode
Summary: A dark fantasy series where an adventurer known only as Goblin Slayer dedicates his life to eliminating goblins after a traumatic past. Famous—and infamous—for its brutal opening episode that shocked many viewers.
2️ Fairy Tail
Problem: Excessive fanservice + “friendship power”
Summary: Fairy Tail follows Natsu and his guild on magical adventures filled with humor, action, and emotional moments. Loved for its characters but criticized for overusing fanservice and plot armor.
3️ Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress
Problem: Too similar to Attack on Titan
Summary: Humanity survives inside fortified stations while monstrous “Kabane” roam the world. Stylish animation but many fans say the plot feels like an AoT clone.
4️ Charlotte
Problem: Not as emotional or complete as Angel Beats
Summary: A group of teens develop temporary superpowers. Starts light but becomes darker—however, fans felt its pacing and ending didn’t meet the emotional depth of Angel Beats.
5️ Deadman Wonderland
Problem: No second season / incomplete ending
Summary: After being framed for murdering his class, Ganta is thrown into a brutal prison where inmates fight for survival. The anime ends halfway and leaves major questions unanswered.
6️ Black Clover
Problem: Asta screams too much + Naruto comparisons
Summary: Asta, born without magic in a world full of sorcerers, aims to become the Wizard King. Great story, but early episodes were criticized for Asta’s loud yelling and similarities to Naruto.

Summary: Meliodas and his team battle demons in an action-fantasy world. Later seasons received heavy criticism due to downgraded animation quality.
9️ Fire Force
Problem: Excessive fanservice (Tamaki especially)
Summary: Shinra joins the Fire Force to fight human combustions. Amazing animation and fights, but many viewers dislike the forced fanservice moments around Tamaki.
10 Future Diary (Mirai Nikki)
Problem: Toxic characters + chaotic story
Summary: A deadly survival game where contestants use future-telling diaries. Popular but controversial due to extreme violence, psychological abuse, and Yuno’s obsessive behavior.
