How I Fell in Love With Anime: My Journey Into the World of Anime

Today, I want to share something personal with all of you. Honestly, I don’t even think this is really a secret, especially if you feel the same way about anime as I do. That feeling is actually the reason why I created this anime blogging site — so anime fans like us can truly connect with each other.

I know there are already many huge anime platforms and massive communities out there. And while being big has its advantages, it also comes with one major disadvantage: not every fan truly connects with one another.

Sometimes, when you join those massive communities, they can make you feel small, like your opinions or feelings about anime don’t really matter compared to others. That’s one of the main reasons why I created AniWorldTV — a place where every anime fan can connect, share their opinions freely, and enjoy anime together without forcing their views on others.

Here, we can share our anime journeys, our favorite moments, emotional stories, recommendations, and memories together as a real community.

Growing Up With Anime

As a kid born in the year 2000, I was also one of those children who grew up watching shows like Naruto, Dragon Ball, Beyblade, Zatch Bell, Pokémon, Idaten Jump, and many other amazing anime series.

Back then, I didn’t even know these shows were called “anime.” I just knew they felt different from the other cartoons we watched growing up. They looked more inspiring, emotional, exciting, and unique compared to shows like Tom and Jerry, Popeye, Dexter’s Laboratory, or Ben 10.

And honestly, that feeling stayed with me for years.

Discovering The Bigger Anime World

When I entered my teenage years and started exploring the internet more deeply, I once again found myself returning to the same anime I had loved as a child.

But this time, things felt completely different.

I discovered entirely new genres of anime and many incredible series that completely blew my mind. That was the moment I truly fell deep into the anime world.

The more anime I watched, the more I wanted to explore.

However, during that time, I also realized that many websites and big platforms didn’t always give good recommendations. Sometimes they would simply say, “Watch this anime, it’s amazing,” without properly explaining what the series was actually about.

Because of that, I ended up watching several anime that personally weren’t for me. I’m not saying those shows were bad, but I felt tricked into watching them because nobody explained the genre, tone, or what type of audience would enjoy them.

Another frustrating thing was that many websites didn’t clearly mention:

Where to watch the anime
How many seasons it had
Whether the anime was completed or ongoing

I often had to scroll through endless comments just to find simple answers.

And honestly, that experience became another reason why I wanted to create AniWorldTV differently.

Anime Became Part Of My Life

I still vividly remember my summer vacations from school.

No homework, no stress, and no major plans with friends — just endless anime watching sessions.

Some days, I would spend 10 to 12 hours watching anime (of course, not continuously!). Every single day felt exciting because I was constantly discovering new series, new characters, and new worlds.

From early mornings until late nights, anime became my constant companion. It gave me entertainment, inspiration, emotional moments, and sometimes even comfort during difficult days.

Those carefree summer days are honestly some of my favorite memories.

My Anime Collection So Far

Even today, my passion for anime continues to grow stronger.

So far, I’ve watched:

Around 400 to 500 anime series
Around 100 to 200 anime movies

And honestly, I still feel like there are countless amazing anime left to discover.
