Sakamoto Days Manga Reaches 18 Million Copies Worldwide

One of the biggest manga success stories continues to grow.

The official Sakamoto Days X (formerly Twitter) account confirmed on Tuesday that the manga has officially surpassed 18 million copies in circulation worldwide, marking another major milestone for Yuto Suzuki’s hit action-comedy series.

The announcement was made on the same day that Shueisha released Volume 28 of the manga in Japan.

The series has enjoyed incredible momentum following the success of its anime adaptation. The first cour premiered on January 11, 2025, on TV Tokyo and affiliated networks while simultaneously streaming worldwide on Netflix. The second cour aired in July 2025, introducing even more fans to the franchise.

The anime’s second season is scheduled to premiere in January 2027, giving fans another reason to look forward to the coming year.

The manga entered its final battle in August 2025, and creator Yuto Suzuki later confirmed that the story is heading toward its climax. Although the final chapter has yet to be announced, readers can expect the series to enter its concluding phase soon.

Your Letter Webtoon Officially Gets a Stage Musical

Fans of emotional webtoons have something special to look forward to.

The acclaimed webtoon Your Letter is officially receiving a live stage musical adaptation.

The musical will run from September 16 through November 29 at PLUS Theater in Seoul, South Korea.

The production is being written by Kim Soo-ah, while Pyo Sang-ah will serve as both producer and director.

Originally created by Hyeon A Cho, Your Letter is one of WEBTOON’s most beloved completed series. Despite being relatively short, it earned widespread praise for its touching story, emotional characters, and beautiful artwork.

The webtoon concluded in 2019 and currently holds an impressive 9.8 rating on WEBTOON, making it one of the platform’s highest-rated completed series.

Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway’s Second Movie Arrives on Netflix

Netflix has officially begun streaming a new trailer for Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway: The Sorcery of Nymph Circe (Kidō Senshi Gundam: Senkō no Hathaway – Circe no Majo).

The trailer confirms that the highly anticipated film will begin streaming on Netflix on August 31 in select regions.

Ahead of its streaming release, Bandai Namco Filmworks held special screenings of the movie in Japan with English subtitles, allowing international fans to experience the film early.

This is the second installment in the Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway film trilogy.

According to Bandai Namco Filmworks, the story continues Hathaway Noa’s struggle as he balances his role as the leader of Mafty while confronting his unresolved feelings for Gigi Andalucia. Meanwhile, Kenneth Sleg continues his mission to eliminate Mafty, leading all three characters toward an emotional and action-packed conflict that shapes the future of humanity.

The film combines large-scale mobile suit battles, political intrigue, and emotional storytelling, continuing the darker tone established in the first movie.
