Trapped in a Dating Sim 2 Anime’s 1st Promo Video Unveils July Debut

One of the best new-gen isekai anime, Trapped in a Dating Sim, has revealed its Season 2 first promo video. At the end of the promo video, we got confirmation that the second season will air in July 2026, although the exact release date is not final yet.

Not just that, Kadokawa, which released the trailer, also revealed new character visuals and announced previously returning cast members.

Animated Devil May Cry Show’s 2nd Season Unveils New Trailer, Key Art

Netflix revealed a new trailer for Devil May Cry Season 2 on Tuesday.

Not just the new trailer, but the key art and poster were also revealed. The second season of the anime will air from May 12 on Netflix. The first season aired in 2025 and was animated by Studio Mir, becoming one of the best anime releases of that year.

Not just that, the first season also created records. It debuted at #4 on Netflix’s global Top 10 with 5.3 million views in its first three days, and the show was in the Top 10 in 87 countries.

‘Covet the Scholar, Princess’ Webtoon Confirmed for Live-Action Adaptation

A live-action adaptation of the webtoon Covet the Scholar, Princess has been confirmed, with casting discussions underway.

According to Korean entertainment outlet OSEN, actors Yeon-seok Yoo and Se-young Lee are in talks to star in the series and are positively reviewing their offers. If confirmed, this would mark their first project together.

Based on the webtoon of the same name, the series is a historical romance combining palace intrigue with political drama. The story follows Princess Eun-myeong, who grows up isolated in the royal court and pursues marriage with scholar Kim Seoyul after falling in love at first sight. Their relationship becomes entangled in family conflicts and power struggles.

2nd Kingdom Stage Play Casts Chihiro Yamamoto

The staff of Kingdom II, the second stage play adaptation of Yasuhisa Hara’s Kingdom manga, announced on Tuesday that Chihiro Yamamoto will play Kyou Kai.

The new stage play will depict the story of Ou Ki, a great general of the Qin army, and his tragic death in battle.

Returning cast includes:

Kazuya Yamada returns to direct the second stage play, while Shizuka Kasaura writes the script with supervision by Bun-Ō Fujisawa. Kohta Yamamoto also returns to compose the music.

Antiquarian Bookshop Biblia Mystery Novels Get TV Anime in 2027

Mystery anime fans have a new adaptation to look forward to, as Kadokawa officially announced that Antiquarian Bookshop Biblia’s Case Files will receive a television anime in 2027, with animation production handled by CloverWorks.

For fans unfamiliar with the series, Antiquarian Bookshop Biblia’s Case Files (Shioriko and the Strange Guests) is a beloved Japanese mystery novel series written by En Mikami, first launched in 2011 with illustrations by Hagu Koshijima. The story follows Shioriko Shinokawa, the sharp and book-loving owner of an old bookshop, who solves strange mysteries hidden within rare and antique books. Blending literary intrigue, historical secrets, and detective-style storytelling, the series has become a favorite among mystery readers.

The novels have sold over 6.4 million copies and were nominated for the Japan Mystery Writers Association Award in 2012 and 2014. The franchise is currently split into two series, with the first ending at volume seven, while the second series continues, with its 11th novel released in March 2024.

Interestingly, this is not the first attempt to adapt the novels. Kadokawa originally announced in 2017 that the books would inspire both a live-action film and an anime film adaptation. While the live-action film was released in November 2018, the anime film project never materialized, with no further updates revealed after the initial announcement. Now, years later, the story is finally returning in anime form as a full television series.

Dragon Ball Super: Beerus Anime’s New Trailer Teases Frieza’s Return

The Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour event in Los Angeles unveiled a new “Super Gekitou” trailer for Dragon Ball Super: Beerus, which will air on Fuji TV this fall. The end of the video teases Frieza’s return.

Akio Iyoku stated the project started a few years ago and is an enhanced edition of the Dragon Ball Super anime featuring reconstructed story elements and new redrawn cuts.

The official announcement states the project includes:

Extensive new cuts
Revisions to existing scenes
Complete re-rendering of footage
Newly recorded dubbing
Added score and sound effects
Full reconstruction of the story

Shoji Kawamori’s Labyrinth Anime Film Unveils English Dub Cast, Trailer (Updated)

GKIDS began streaming an English-dubbed trailer and visual for Labyrinth (Meikyū no Shiori).

English dub cast:

GKIDS will screen the movie in North America for two nights only on May 10–11, in Japanese with English subtitles and also with an English dub.

The film originally opened in Japan on January 1.

Kawamori directed the anime at SANZIGEN, marking his first feature-length animated film not based on an existing franchise. Risa Ebata designed the characters, and Taichi Hashimoto wrote the script.
