24. Kurapika

Kurapika is one of the main characters from the original Hunter x Hunter series. Although his role becomes less prominent in the anime after he moves closer to achieving his revenge against the Phantom Troupe, his story remains one of the most satisfying parts of the series.

His desire for revenge against the Phantom Troupe completely shaped his Nen abilities and fighting style. Instead of simply becoming stronger through raw training, Kurapika created extremely powerful restrictions around his Nen abilities, allowing him to become particularly dangerous against the members of the Phantom Troupe.

Chrollo himself had previously fought against two members of the Zoldyck family, Silva Zoldyck and Zeno Zoldyck, making Kurapika’s achievement even more impressive.

Chain Jail is particularly powerful because it was specifically designed around his hatred of the Phantom Troupe. Kurapika placed an extremely strict condition on the ability, allowing it to become much more effective against its intended targets.

Kurapika is the perfect example of why raw power doesn’t automatically determine a fight. Against a member of the Phantom Troupe, his abilities become significantly more dangerous because of his restrictions. But outside those conditions, his ranking becomes much more matchup-dependent.

23. Biscuit Krueger

Biscuit Krueger is one of those characters who can easily fool you with her appearance. If you think she is only a cute and harmless character who cannot hurt you, you are going to have a very bad time.

Her true form is vastly more muscular and powerful than her normal appearance, and she possesses an enormous amount of Nen knowledge and combat experience.

Biscuit is also one of the most important Nen teachers we see in the series because she played a major role in developing Gon and Killua’s abilities during their training.

Biscuit isn’t portrayed as someone with Meruem-level destructive power, but she is not someone you can underestimate. In terms of Nen education, experience, and technical mastery, she is among the best humans on this list.

22. Feitan Portor

Feitan Portor is one of the characters in the anime with an extremely broken and dangerous ability. Although he doesn’t get as much screen time as some of the other major characters, his personality, fighting style, and mysterious background have made him a fan favorite.

Interestingly, his ability is both his greatest strength and one of his biggest weaknesses.

The attack was not simply strong enough to defeat her. Its heat was so intense that everything around it began to melt, creating an effect similar to being exposed to the scorching heat of the sun.

Feitan has an unusual win condition: the more you hurt him, the more dangerous he can become. However, his ability also requires him to survive the damage first.

Against an opponent who can defeat him quickly, Feitan may not have enough time to use Pain Packer effectively. Because of this limitation, we have placed him at number 22 on the list.

21. Kite

If Kite had not been introduced to the story, we may never have witnessed one of the most memorable rage moments and power-ups in Hunter x Hunter.

Against an extremely powerful opponent such as Neferpitou, this can put him at a significant disadvantage, especially when he has very little time to prepare.

Kite was one of Ging Freecss’s students and a highly experienced Hunter.

His encounter with Neferpitou demonstrated the enormous gap between him and a Royal Guard, but the fact that he could survive against such a terrifying opponent for a period of time still shows his skill and experience.

We should not claim that Pariston is stronger than Zeno, Hisoka, or Chrollo in direct combat. There simply isn’t enough evidence.

His ranking comes from his potential, intelligence, reputation, political influence, and accomplishments within the Hunter x Hunter world.

Throughout the anime, other than making Killua fear him, we haven’t seen enough of Illumi Zoldyck’s full combat ability to determine exactly where he belongs.

17. Hisoka Morow

The most loved and hated character from the Hunter x Hunter series, Hisoka Morow is one of the most unpredictable fighters in the entire anime.

Hisoka may not possess Meruem-level raw power, but his battle IQ, unpredictability, creativity, experience, and willingness to take risks make him dangerous to almost anyone.

Not only against Hisoka, but also during his encounter with Silva and Zeno Zoldyck, Chrollo demonstrated why his preparation, planning, and ability combination make him such a dangerous opponent.

Chrollo is one of the best examples of Battle IQ + Hatsu versatility in Hunter x Hunter.

At this level, the difference between characters can become extremely small. Illumi Zoldyck, Hisoka Morow, and Chrollo Lucilfer can all be considered to be within a similar general power range, although their strengths are very different.
