Isekai Quartet Anime – New Season Confirmed
Isekai Quartet is a chibi-style anime series that brings together characters from popular “isekai” anime under the Kadokawa Corporation. If you’re into isekai anime and love comedy, this crossover series is definitely worth checking out!

So far, two seasons have been released, and now we’ve got some exciting news: a third season is officially confirmed! This Friday, it was announced that Isekai Quartet will be getting a new season, along with 11 additional staff members added to the production team.
Even more exciting, some new characters from other isekai anime will be joining the cast! Minoru Ashina is returning as both the director and scriptwriter for the new season.

- Season 1 featured characters from Re:Zero, Overlord, KonoSuba, and The Saga of Tanya the Evil
- Season 2 added characters from The Rising of the Shield Hero
Now, we can’t wait to see who joins in Season 3!
Sakamoto Days – New Trailer, Cast, and Ending Theme
Summer 2025 anime season is just around the corner! If you’re wondering what to watch, check out our full list of Top Most Anticipated Anime of Summer 2025.
One of the top picks from that list is Sakamoto Days—an anime that pulls you in from the very first episode. It originally aired in Winter 2025 and quickly became one of the standout shows of the season, known for having no bad episodes.

Now, the second season is set to premiere in Summer 2025, and ahead of that, a new trailer has been released along with fresh updates about the cast and ending theme. Watch the new trailer here:

Astra Award Winners Announced
If you’ve been following our weekly news, you’ll remember we mentioned the Astra Awards in Anime Weekly News Part 16. At that time, nominations had been announced, but not the winners.

Now we have the results, and here are some of the big wins:
- Best Anime Series – Dragon Ball Daima
- Best Lead Voice-over Performance – Alkes Le for his role as Sung Jinwoo in Solo Leveling
