01. Gantz Creator Hiroya Oku To Work On New Manga
In this year’s 23rd issue of Shogakukan’s Big Comic Superior magazine, it was revealed that Gantz manga creator Hiroya Oku will start working on a new manga. In a message along with the announcement, Oku stated that the new manga’s story is still in his head, and he is eager to start drawing it soon.

Oku’s Gantz manga ran from 2000 to 2013. The manga inspired a television anime, a CG anime film, two Japanese live-action films, and two spinoff manga.
02. Amazon Prime Video Streams Look Back Anime Film With New English Dub
Amazon Prime Video added the anime film of Chainsaw Man creator Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Look Back one-shot manga worldwide on Thursday. It is streaming both the original Japanese audio with English subtitles and a new English dub.
The film opened in theaters in Japan on June 28, ranking #2 in ticket sales during its opening weekend. The film sold 135,000 tickets and earned 227 million yen in its first three days.
03. Momo Sumomo’s bokoku No Marguerite manga enters climax
The December issue of Akita Shoten’s Princess magazine revealed on Tuesday that Momo Sumomo’s Bokoku no Marguerite manga is entering its climax. Sumomo launched the manga in Princess in June 2018. Akita Shoten published the manga’s 14th compiled book volume on July 16 and will publish the 15th volume on December 16.
04. Honda’s from sick planet with Love manga ends in January
Akita Shoten’s Mystery Bonita magazine revealed on Wednesday that manga creator Honda’s Yameru Hoshi Yori Ai o Komete manga will end with its next chapter in the magazine’s February 2025 issue in January.
The manga concluded an arc in May 2021 and then continued with a new story that winter. Honda launched the manga in Mystery Bonita in January 2020. Akita Shoten published the manga’s fourth compiled book volume on May 16.
05. New The Rose Versailles anime film reveals 3 new cast members
TThe Rose of Versailles manga revealed three new cast members on Thursday for the upcoming anime film adaptation of Riyoko Ikeda’s work.
The newly announced cast members are:
- Fukushi Ochiai as Louis XVI
- Banjō Ginga as General Jarjayes
- Mayumi Tanaka as Maron Glacé Mont Blan
The film is scheduled for release on January 31.
06. Hotel In humans Manga About Hotel For Assassins gets tv anime in 2025
Last Friday, Shogakukan announced that Ao Tajima’s Hotel Inhumans manga is inspiring a television anime in 2025. Tetsuro Amino (Macross 7, Shiki, Iwa-Kakeru!) is directing the anime at Bridge, with Shoji Yonemura (Parasyte -the maxim-, Wave, Listen to Me!) in charge of the series scripts, and Shingo Fujisaki (Let the Grieving Soul Retire) designing the characters.
Tajima launched the manga on Shogakukan’s Sunday Webry site in June 2021, and it is ongoing. Shogakukan published the manga’s eighth compiled volume on April 12 and will publish the ninth volume on November 19.
