Summary : The story of this anime revolves around a high school sophomore named Akihito Kanbara. Summary :- Across Japan, monsters known as Kaijuu have been appearing for many years. To combat them, the government created an elite military unit known as the Defense Corps. This unit risks their lives daily to protect civilians whenever a Kaijuu appears.
Once the Defense Corps eliminates a Kaijuu, a separate unit is tasked with cleaning up and disposing of the Kaijuu’s remains. Kafka Hibino, a 32-year-old man, works as part of this cleanup crew. However, he is deeply unsatisfied with his job as a sweeper.
Kafka dreams of joining the elite Defense Corps, but every time he takes the entrance exam, he fails. One day, an 18-year-old named Leno Ichikawa joins the sweeper crew. Inspired by Kafka’s determination, Leno also starts aspiring to join the Defense Corps.
While on the job, an unexpected incident lands both Kafka and Leno in the hospital. As they rest and talk, Kafka confides in Leno that he plans to give the entrance exam one last shot. During their conversation, a strange and powerful parasite Kaijuu forces its way into Kafka’s body through his mouth, transforming him into a humanoid monster.
