As you know, the spring anime season is currently airing. But after 3 to 4 weeks, most of the spring anime will end, and the summer anime season will begin. Just like in previous years, this summer also has many top anime that are set to air. So here we are with the Top 10 Most Anticipated Anime of Summer 2025, to make sure you don’t miss out on any great shows.
This spring season didn’t have many exciting anime. We’ve already covered the Top Anime of Spring 2025, so check that out if you haven’t seen it yet. Personally, I was a bit disappointed, as many of the anime were average. Most of them were new shows, which might be why they didn’t stand out much.
But that’s not the case this time.
While doing our research for the summer season, we found that many anime are continuing from previous seasons. So you don’t have to worry much about whether they’ll be good or not.
Now, let’s not waste any more time and jump into the countdown of the Top 10 Most Anticipated Anime of Summer 2025!
10. Dainanaoji, I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince, so I Will Perfect My Magic as I Please 2nd Season

Summary: Lloyd, a sorcerer in his past life who lacked talent, is reincarnated as the seventh prince of the Kingdom of Saloum, blessed with immense magical potential and his past memories. The second season will likely continue his carefree pursuit of mastering magic, unburdened by royal duties or romantic interests, often leading to him unintentionally showcasing his overwhelming power.
Our Opinion: The first season of this anime was really good. It’s one of the best isekai anime if you enjoy watching shows with an overpowered main character. The first season was a hit—the story, animation, and character development were all done well, But I’ve gotten a bit bored with the overpowered MC concept. It’s not that the anime is boring or anything, but the concept of an overpowered main character has become boring for me to watch. So this time, I’m not that interested in this anime.
- Previous Seasons And Episodes: 12 with 12 episodes
- Sub/Dub Available: Both.
- Genre: Isekai, Fantasy, Action
09. Seishun Buta Yarou wa Santa Claus no Yume wo Minai

Summary: Translating to “Rascal Does Not Dream of a Santa Claus’ Dream,” this is a new entry in the Rascal Does Not Dream series. Given the pattern of previous installments adapting light novel volumes, this will likely focus on a new instance of “Adolescence Syndrome” affecting one of the main characters – possibly Mai Sakurajima, Sakuta Azusagawa, or another member of their circle – leading to a poignant and potentially supernatural narrative exploring their personal struggles and relationships.
Our Opinion: I’ve been a fan of this anime from the start. The supernatural elements, romance, comedy, and drama are some of the best. At its peak, it can even make you cry. The storytelling is great, the animation is really good, and the overall story is well done. I’m excited to watch it this season—it’s definitely on my watchlist.
- Previous Seasons And Episodes: Currently 1 season with 12 episodes.
- Sub/Dub Available: Both
- Genre: Supernatural, Romance, Drama, Slice of Life
08. Call of the Knight season 2

Summary: The second season will likely continue the unusual relationship between Ko Yamori, a human boy who stopped going to school and enjoys the night, and Nazuna Nanakusa, a free-spirited vampire. It will likely explore Ko’s desire to become a vampire himself, which requires him to fall in love with Nazuna, leading to unique and often humorous interactions as they navigate their feelings and the nocturnal world.
Our Opinion: I haven’t seen this anime yet, but I’ve heard really good reviews from friends and other anime websites. It’s not on my watchlist right now because I’d need to watch the first part too, and I don’t have the time—my watchlist is already full. But trust us, this is a great anime to add to your list if you enjoy romance and supernatural stories.
- Previous Seasons And Episodes: 1 season with 13 episodes
- Sub/Dub Available: Both
- Genre: Supernatural, Romance, Slice of Life
07. the rising of the shield hero Season 4

Summary: Likely the fourth season, this will continue the journey of Naofumi Iwatani, the often-maligned Shield Hero, as he navigates a world filled with prejudice, betrayal, and the looming threat of the Waves of Catastrophe. Expect more character development for Naofumi and his companions Raphtalia and Filo, along with new challenges, enemies, and the uncovering of deeper secrets about the world they are in.
Our Opinion: Our Opinion: To tell you the truth, I liked the first two seasons of this anime, but after that, it started to feel boring for me. The story moves at a very slow pace. Otherwise, the story itself is good, the animation is solid, and the character development is also very well done. If you enjoy isekai anime, I’d still recommend giving this one a try—it’s one of the best isekai series out there.
- Previous Seasons And Episodes: 3 seasons have aired with a total of 38 episodes.
- Sub/Dub Available: Both
- Genre: Isekai, Action, Adventure, Fantasy
06. Rent a girl friend season 4

Summary: This is the anticipated fourth season of “Rent-A-Girlfriend” (Kanojo, Okarishimasu). It will likely delve further into the complicated romantic relationships surrounding Kazuya Kinoshita, particularly his evolving feelings for the rental girlfriend Chizuru Mizuhara, alongside the persistent affections of Ruka Sarashina and the supportive presence of Sumi Sakurasawa, potentially introducing new challenges and character development.
Our Opinion: This is one of the best rom-com anime to watch and definitely one of our top recommendations. The story is great, the character development is well done, and the animation is good too. The romantic elements are really strong—this is the kind of anime you should watch with your girlfriend. If you’re single, maybe skip it for now… it might make you feel a little lonely!. This is also on my watch_list
- Previous Seasons And Episodes: 3 seasons are out with a total of 36 episodes (12 episodes per season).
- Sub/Dub Available: Both
- Genre: Romantic Comedy, Drama
05. Dr.Stone Science Future part 2

Summary: This is the second part of the final “Science Future” arc of Dr. Stone. Following Senku and his crew’s arrival in the “New World” (North America) in Part 1, this part will likely see them establishing a stronger foothold, encountering new civilizations, and continuing their quest for resources to eventually reach their ultimate goal of understanding the petrification phenomenon and reaching the moon, facing new threats and mysteries along the way.
Our Opinion: One of the best anime to learn science in a fun way! I’m not a science student, but this anime explains things so simply that it’s easy to understand. I wish there were more anime like this to make learning science more enjoyable. The story is really good, the animation is top-notch, and the character development is also great. I’m quite a fan of this anime, and yes—it’s definitely on my watchlist.
- Previous Seasons And Episodes: 3 seasons have aired with a total of 57 episodes (Season 1: 24 episodes, Season 2: 11 episodes, Season 3: 22 episodes). Season 4, titled “Science Future,” is currently airing its first part (12 episodes in Winter 2025),
- Sub/Dub Available: Both
- Genre: Adventure, Science Fiction, Comedy
04. Grand Blue season 2

Summary: The second season will continue the hilarious and often alcohol-fueled antics of the Peek-a-Boo diving club at Izu University, centered around the reluctant diver Iori Kitahara and his chaotic upperclassmen. Expect more absurd situations, misunderstandings, and the constant avoidance of actual diving in favor of partying and bizarre challenges.
Our Opinion: This is one of the few anime I’ve been waiting for—and finally, the new season of Grand Blue is here after 7 years! Grand Blue is one of the best comedy anime out there. The humor can be a bit dark, but it’s absolutely hilarious. Every time I watch it, I laugh so hard that I sometimes end up crying. After Gintama, this is the only anime that has made me laugh this much.
- Previous Seasons And Episodes: 1 season with 12 episodes.
- Sub/Dub Available: Both
- Genre: Comedy, Slice of Life, College Life
03. Sakamoto part 2

Summary: This is the second part of the anime adaptation of “Sakamoto Days,” continuing the story of Taro Sakamoto, the legendary hitman who retired to run a convenience store and his apprentice Shin, a young man with telepathic abilities. Part 2 will likely feature more of Sakamoto’s incredible, albeit often unintentionally comedic, fighting skills as he tries to maintain his peaceful life while facing threats from his past and present.
Our Opinion: This is one of those rare anime that doesn’t have any bad episodes, and I count Sakamoto Days as one of them. It’s not just about great storytelling, animation, and fight scenes—you also learn about the importance of family values and how forgiveness is a good thing, but only for the right people. It’s amazing that we’re getting another season of this incredible anime within just one year. Without a doubt, this anime is on my watchlist.
- Previous Seasons And Episodes: Season 1 is currently airing in two parts (cours). Part 1 (Winter 2025) has 11 episodes.
- Sub/Dub Available: Both
- Genre: Action, Comedy
02. kaiju no8. Season 2

Summary: The second season will continue the story of Kafka Hibino, who mysteriously gained the ability to transform into a Kaiju (specifically, Kaiju No. 8) while working for a Kaiju cleanup crew. Now a member of the Anti-Kaiju Defense Force, he must balance his duty to fight Kaiju and protect humanity with the secret of his own Kaiju identity, leading to intense action and personal struggles.
Our Opinion: This is the anime that i was not quite excited and seeing the anime trailer i think it will be just like those avarage anime but after watching this anime’s 2 episode i become fan of this anime. One person who was about to give up his dream, meet to an excident and then become one of few most powerful people on anime. animation is very good, high quality of the fight scene, and chraracter development is also very good. This is also on my watch list.
- Previous Seasons And Episodes: 1 season with 12 episodes aired in Spring 2024.
- Sub/Dub Available: Both
- Genre: Action, Sci-Fi
01. DAN DA DAN season 2

Summary: The anime adaptation of the popular manga, Dandadan, follows Momo Ayase, who believes in ghosts but not aliens, and Ken Takakura (“Okarun”), who believes in aliens but not ghosts. After a bizarre encounter with both, they are thrown into a world of supernatural and extraterrestrial phenomena, leading to chaotic and action-packed adventures as they gain unique powers and face various otherworldly threats together.
Our Opinion: The newest top-tier rom-com, action, and supernatural anime—Dandadan. Sometimes the animation can feel a bit weird, but the story is very unique. It was one of the best anime from Fall 2024. While it makes you laugh a lot, the action scenes are just as good as any top action anime out there. This is definitely one of the most anticipated anime of Summer 2025. If this isn’t on your watchlist, then your anime taste might need a little work
